Meals

Children need a healthy balanced diet to enable them to develop and grow. At Georgie’s, we eat balanced and nutritious meals which are cooked on site. All of my meals are home cooked by myself using the freshest ingredients. The children have the opportunity to help with meal preparation as well as making occasional sweet treats! We have a varied repertoire of meals including traditional British meals and foods from around the world.

Meal times are a social occasion so we all sit at the table together. The children are encoraged to use cutlery, pour thier own drinks and to try new foods.

I don’t plan what meals we are having each day but choose a few meals from our list on a weekly basis. I will give meal options to the children as well as introducing new flavours to them. Sometimes, we will take a picnic out with us for the day or eat out at a local cafe.

Allergies

I can cater for children who have allergies and intolerances. I update my meal plan to cater for the allergies of the children who attend. We all eat the same meals so there is no risk of the children sharing foods that are not safe for another child.

We operate a nut free kitchen (so please dont bring any food that contain nuts to the settting).

All of the meals above (apart from those marked with a “G”) can be dairy free by simply omitting the cheese. I can also create egg free and gluten free versions from the majority of the meals on the list.
